Postdoctoral researcher working on structural health monitoring of marine structures (mainly). My work centres on integrating computational mechanics with probabilistic modelling to improve decision-making in modelling, operation and maintenance of engineering structures (and more...).
Current research focuses on quantifying the value of SHM for structural maintenance planning of ships. Recent applications include assessing the value of information from strain-based monitoring systems for thickness loss detection and developing adaptive generative models to enhance monitoring robustness under data loss scenarios.
Past works include using Bayesian decision theory to assess the utility of physics-based models for structural deterioration monitoring, determining optimal sensor configurations for strain-based damage detection, and developing deep generative models for efficient full-field structural response reconstruction.
